Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio seeks a part-time LifeWise teacher to share the gospel in a public school setting using LifeWise curricula. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can nurture caring relationships with students.

The role requires a mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith and entails training, classroom management, record-keeping, and community engagement in a religious school program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church setting.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training: certification within 30 days, participate in the annual LifeWise Summit, attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or Meet-Up per year, stay updated via LifeWise email.
• Teach LifeWise Classes: plan and map curriculum, implement LifeWise curriculum, build relationships and pray with students, maintain an organized, encouraging classroom, apply LifeWise policies.
• Maintain Records: take attendance, provide records to program director/school officials, maintain class rosters including health, special needs, photo permissions, prepare materials for substitutes.
• Maintain the Classroom: keep classroom clean and well-ordered, know emergency procedures, purchase supplies with funds provided by program director.
• Communicate: act as LifeWise ambassador, attend open houses and outreach events, maintain dialogue with school personnel, build relationships with volunteers, submit updates/photos, promote LifeWise religious mission.
