Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners and leaders. This is an exciting opportunity for teachers who desire to serve where their efforts matter.

Responsibilities include teaching Elementary General Curriculum to a diverse student population including those with special needs and English language learners. A strong focus is on goals, progress, and collaboration within the school team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License (Elementary 1-6) with SEI Endorsement or ESL license required.
• Fully licensed and Highly Qualified as defined by standards.
• Authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elementary General Curriculum in a setting inclusive of students with Special Needs and English Language Learners (SEI).
• Provide small-group instruction and progress reports for students with cognitive delays.
• Write and implement IEP goals and progress reports.
• Provide accommodations and develop curriculum as needed for MCAS Alternative assessments.
• Collaborate with staff to support student needs and modifications.
