Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Massachusetts Elementary 1-6 license with Moderate Disabilities PK-8 and SEI or ESL endorsement.
• Must meet all state and federal guidelines to be Highly Qualified.
• Ability to meet Boston Public Schools’ Standards of Effective Teaching.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach Elementary General Curriculum in an inclusive setting with students with Special Needs and ELLs (SEI).
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals and provide progress reports on student development.
• Provide accommodations and, if needed, develop curriculum for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
• Collaborate with staff to support student needs and modifications.
