Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with moderate to severe disabilities in an elementary setting near Elkton, KY. The role runs from August 4, 2026, to May 17, 2027, with a 37.5-hour work week and a small caseload of seven students.

You will design IEPs, collaborate with general educators, therapists, and families, and maintain thorough progress documentation in a well-resourced environment, with competitive hourly pay and agency-backed support.

Qualifications

• Valid Kentucky SPED teaching certification with MSD endorsement.
• Experience with elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Strong collaboration with general educators, therapists, and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and adapt IEPs aligned with students’ unique needs.
• Use evidence-based instructional strategies for students with MSD.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to monitor progress and adjust approaches.
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communication with families.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development, staying current on best practices in special education.
