Job summary

ProCare Therapy seeks a dedicated Mild/Moderate Education Specialist to support elementary learners in a full-time, contract role. You will develop and monitor IEPs, provide on-site instruction, and collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to promote student success.

Qualifications

• Valid California Special Education credential or eligibility for mild/moderate authorization.
• Experience with elementary students preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to write/implement individualized plans.
• Excellent communication with families and school staff.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for a caseload of elementary students.
• Deliver direct instruction and support to students on-site, adapting lessons as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators to promote student success.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, progress reports, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Support students in developing self-advocacy, academic, and social-emotional skills.
• Engage regularly with parents/guardians to communicate progress and develop strategies for continued growth.
• Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning sessions.
