Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with mild to moderate needs in a collaborative school setting. The contract runs from August 20, 2026 through June 3, 2027, and is on-site, focusing on inclusive instruction and student growth.

You will work with a team of educators, therapists, and families to implement IEPs, monitor progress, and participate in planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure.
• Experience with elementary students in special education, mild/moderate caseloads.
• Familiarity with IEPs and effective implementation strategies.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Commitment to fostering student growth and an inclusive classroom community.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging instructional activities tailored to students' individualized education plans.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support students' goals and progress.
• Monitor student development and document progress in accordance with district guidelines.
• Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning sessions.
• Cultivate a supportive environment that equips students with essential academic and social skills.
