Onward Education is partnering with a Dakota County school to hire two dedicated Special Education Teachers for the 2026/2027 school year. This on-site contract role supports elementary students in a resource room and a center-based classroom, with collaboration from a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching license in ASD or EBD (or willingness to obtain) and emphasizes inclusive, student-centered practices and commitment to diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current teaching license in ASD or EBD, or willingness to obtain an Out of Field license.
• Experience working with diverse populations or commitment to diverse learners.
• Ability to work in a specialized SPED environment supporting behavioral and learning needs.
• Commitment to inclusive, student-centered practices and collaboration with school teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a SPED setting.
• Resource and center-based classrooms, ASD preferred.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary school-based support team to promote student success.
• Deliver individualized support in small-class settings to meet diverse student needs.
• Build strong relationships with students while supporting positive behavior and engagement.
