Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated educator to support an elementary DCD classroom in Minnesota. This onsite, contract role offers 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, within a collaborative special education environment.

Qualified candidates hold an active Minnesota Teaching License (Tier 3 or 4 preferred) with a background in special education. You will design IEPs, work with teachers and families, and use data to tailor instruction to diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Minnesota Teaching License.
• Tier 3 or Tier 4 Minnesota teaching license required.
• Background in special education, especially with students with developmental and cognitive disabilities, is preferred.
• Ability to create inclusive, engaging lessons and build positive relationships with students.
• Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with other educators, aides, and families.
• Commitment to individualized instruction and data-informed teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom for elementary students with a wide spectrum of developmental and cognitive needs.
• Design and implement IEPs and tailored learning plans in alignment with each student's strengths and goals.
• Collaborate routinely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and classroom team to ensure comprehensive support.
• Communicate progress clearly and compassionately to families and school professionals.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional approaches.
