Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our elementary learning programs in Hinsdale, IL. Starting salary is $60,000–$80,000 per year, depending on experience.

You will design personalized learning experiences for students with IEPs, deliver targeted instruction, and collaborate with staff to support student growth. Responsibilities include PBIS integration, progress tracking, and adapting instruction to diverse needs while aligning with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education or related field.
• Licensed IL Professional Educator (PEL) or in process.
• Licensed IL Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) or in process.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.
• Strong knowledge of special education services and IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver differentiated, targeted instruction in learning centers or classrooms.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Implement PBIS strategies and classroom expectations.
• Track student progress and maintain records and reports.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Adapt curriculum for diverse learning needs and provide guidance.
