Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field of study.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL professional educator (PEL) credential.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL learning behavior specialist (LBS1) credential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training.
• Prior experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction; preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the instructional process for elementary students with IEPs, designing dynamic and personalized learning experiences.
• Deliver targeted instruction with differentiated approaches, in-person and via classroom resources.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to meet IEP goals and school standards.
• Track student progress, maintain records, and generate reports on student achievements.
• Manage caseloads and develop/update IEPs, goals, and interventions.
