Job summary

Soliant Health in North Carolina is seeking a contract Sign Language Interpreter to support one elementary student from August 3, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00am to 2:30pm.

You will collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication access and be a key contributor to the student’s daily learning experience, arriving prepared each day and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Valid Sign Language Interpreter license.
• Minimum EIPA score 3.5; RID certification eligible without EIPA.
• Punctuality and preparedness before daily student arrival.
• Commitment to onsite work; virtual interpreting is not an option.
• Proven professionalism and ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide sign language interpretation for assigned student in classroom and school activities.
• Support classroom communication between teachers, staff, and students.
• Maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with all ethical and professional standards.
• Arrive and be fully prepared prior to student arrival each day.
• Collaborate with school staff to optimize the learning environment.
