Job summary

BlazerJobs, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support a student in a vibrant elementary school setting.

This full-time, school-based role is 1:1 and follows standard school hours (8:00 AM–2:30 PM), with the assignment running through May 28, 2027 and potential extension. Qualified candidates will hold an Alabama SLI license and preferably RID, EIPA, BEI, or equivalent interpreting certifications.

Qualifications

• Holds current Alabama SLI license or permit (required).
• Interpreting certification strongly preferred (RID, EIPA, BEI, etc.).
• Experience interpreting in K-12 settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate sign language interpretation for one student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between student, teachers, and peers.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote student success and inclusion.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to professional standards for educational interpreting.
• Provide a positive, supportive presence in the school community.
