Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools seeks dedicated teachers to deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction and build an inclusive classroom culture in a large urban network. You will plan with HQIM guidance, differentiate for diverse learners, and collaborate with ESL and special education staff to support all students.

You will also lead with data, provide timely feedback, maintain clear grading, and contribute to school-wide assessment goals while engaging families and communities in meaningful ways.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential required.
• Two years of teaching experience in urban, open enrollment schools preferred.
• Ability to meet I-9 work authorization and background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using HQIM; communicate daily objectives and success criteria; check for understanding throughout.
• Differentiate and scaffold using diverse strategies; coordinate with DSS/ESL staff; provide accommodations with fidelity.
• Structure purposeful practice with independent work, small groups, and centers; use data to drive planning.
• Provide timely feedback and maintain transparent grades and makeup-work systems.
• Design and implement common assessments with alignment and reliability.
