Job summary

KIPP New Orleans Schools (KNOS) is seeking dedicated teachers to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction across our 13 charter schools. You will use HQIM, communicate daily objectives, and monitor student understanding while building strong relationships with families.

Responsibilities include planning rigorous lessons, using data to inform instruction, differentiating for diverse learners, and maintaining a positive classroom culture aligned with KNOS values.

Qualifications

• All KNOS teachers must pass reference check, identity/work eligibility verification, state background check, and teaching experience verification.
• Two years of teaching experience in urban, open enrollment schools is strongly preferred.
• State issued teaching credential is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction using HQIM; communicate daily objectives and success criteria; check for understanding throughout.
• Plan and adapt units and lessons to build conceptual understanding and fluency; align tasks to standards.
• Use data to drive instruction; analyze daily work, interim assessments, and state tests; reteach and extend as needed.
• Differentiate and scaffold using diverse strategies; provide accommodations/modifications for IEP/504 plans.
• Maintain safe, positive classroom culture with routines; provide timely feedback and manage grades and makeup work.
