Job summary

Beach Park School District 3 is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide evaluations, IEP development, and therapy for elementary students at Howe Elementary School. The SLP will collaborate with the educational team to ensure services align with the general education curriculum and district guidelines.

The role requires an ASHA-certified SLP (or CFY), Illinois PEL endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology, and an active IDFPR license, with a commitment to Student Services

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program.
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
• IDFPR license current.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred (CFY candidates supported).
• Must pass fingerprint background check and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose communication disorders; determine severity and eligibility for services.
• Develop and implement IEPs with annual and short-term goals; monitor progress regularly.
• Schedule and deliver therapy using appropriate service delivery models.
• Collaborate with teachers and families; provide staff training and classroom support.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow district procedures and policies.
