Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to support elementary students in northern Illinois for a February through May contract. The role will primarily serve one school with possible additional support for a returning SLP later in the semester.

Responsibilities include delivering therapy, monitoring progress, and maintaining district-compliant documentation, while collaborating with teachers and therapists to integrate goals into classrooms. Interview process is remote.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois state license in Speech Language Pathology is required.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to adapt and contribute flexibly as caseloads shift.
• Organized and compassionate, with a commitment to helping students achieve communication goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students, ages and caseload to be determined.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Maintain thorough documentation compliant with district and state requirements.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate goals into classroom activities.
• Provide assistance and SLP support when another SLP transitions back onsite.
