Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in quantity food preparation and service.
• Valid Food Handler's Card.
• Basic clerical duties related to recordkeeping and cash handling.
• Knowledge of reimbursable school lunch programs and safe food handling.
• Ability to prepare neat, accurate written reports.
• Basic technology skills including email, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Nutrition Services Supervisor's directions.
• Prepare food according to planned menus and recipes with safety procedures.
• Track meals and counts to minimize waste and ensure menu options.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state school lunch programs.
• Maintain storage of supplies and inventory records.
• Assist in training new staff in the kitchen.
