Brilla Schools in the Bronx, NY seeks an Assistant Principal of Student Services to lead campus-based support for diverse learners and ensure compliance with NYSED. You will supervise a team of specialists, coordinate IEP processes, and collaborate with external agencies to drive interventions and MTSS implementation.

The role emphasizes instructional leadership, data-driven decision making, and staff development within a mission-driven, equitable learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Current Special Education, ESL, or ELL teaching certification.
• 3+ years of relevant urban, elementary, or middle teaching experience with demonstrated student results.
• Administrative certification and 3+ years of leadership experience (preferred).
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Model an understanding of instructional best practices and SDI.
• Conduct regular classroom observations and provide targeted feedback.
• Plan and attend leadership meetings, IEP meetings, and data days.
• Lead development and implementation of Special Education inclusion practices.
• Analyze student data to inform instruction and professional development.
• Deliver weekly professional development aligned to campus goals.
• Provide pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction.
