Job summary

Port Angeles School District is seeking a 6.25-hour paraeducator to support Franklin Elementary students with targeted academic interventions and daily supervision. The role includes assisting with library operations and coordinating with teachers and specialists to ensure a safe, productive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to build positive relationships with students, and ready to contribute across daily activities such as arrival, recess, lunch, and dismissal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting elementary students preferred.
• Ability to work with teachers and specialists to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide small-group academic intervention and targeted student support.
• Assist with library operations and student supervision during recess, lunch, arrival, and dismissal.
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and staff to promote student learning, safety, and success.
• Be flexible and proactive in helping where needed throughout the school day.
