Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• AA degree, OR 48 college-level credits OR 72 quarter credits, OR state paraeducator assessment test.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor scholars throughout the school day, including playground, crosswalk, and meal areas.
• Assist teachers with instructional and behavioral programs and plan with staff.
• Tutor individuals or small groups and help with basic skill development.
• Communicate safety concerns to administration and report hazards on campus.
• Interact positively with students and families, and support positive behavior.
• Assist with classroom tasks, health procedures, and inventory of books/equipment.
