Job summary

Alpine School District in Utah is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional - Elementary - ML Support to assist in the resource classroom with special needs students and implement IEP goals.

The position is non-contract, 29 hours per week (9:15 AM–3:30 PM) with an hourly rate of $18.83. Training is provided within the first 3 months of employment to ensure effective classroom support.

Qualifications

• Age 16+
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Provides first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health care needs.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers in the classroom.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Assists students individually or in groups with lessons to reinforce concepts.
• Maintains classroom materials and records for compliance and availability.
• Provides instruction to students in varied activities to reinforce learning objectives.
• Reports observations and incidents to supervising staff for appropriate action.
• Supervises and escorts students to/from classes for safe learning environments.
