Job summary

Alpine School District in Utah is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to support classrooms and assist in supervising and instructing students, including those with special needs, under the guidance of certified staff. Hours are 5.5 per day with hourly pay for untrained and trained lanes, and there is no benefits package; training opportunities may advance lane level within the district.

This is a non-contract, on-site role in Lehi.

Qualifications

• Assist in supervising and instruction of special needs students in resource classrooms.
• Assist in implementing IEP/504 plans under supervision.
• Perform clerical duties to support classroom operations.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities and materials to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers basic first aid and health-related assistance as instructed.
• Administers tests, homework, and make-up work to support instruction.
• Monitors student progress and maintains records.
• Assists students with self-care activities and daily living skills.
• Maintains instructional materials and classroom files.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
