Job summary

Applitrack is recruiting an Instructional Paraprofessional - Elementary - ML Support (ELL Para) for a 29-hour work week. The position is non-contract with an hourly rate of $18.83 for Lane 5, working typically 9:15 AM–3:30 PM.

Responsibilities include assisting in instruction and supervision of special needs students, implementing IEP/504 plans, and providing clerical support to teachers. Employees must complete mandatory training within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must complete mandatory employee training within the first 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials under supervising teacher to support objectives and IEP goals.
• Administers first aid and medical assistance as instructed to meet health needs of students.
• Administers tests, homework and make-up work to support teachers in the classroom.
• Assists data collection to monitor student progress.
• Assists students with self-care activities to maintain personal hygiene.
• Assists students in groups with lesson assignments to reinforce concepts and goals.
• Communicates with supervising staff to evaluate progress and implement IEP/504 objectives.
• Demonstrates appropriate role modeling to guide social and interpersonal behavior.
• Implements behavioral plans identified in IEPs under supervision.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Monitors students during assigned periods to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Performs clerical duties to ensure efficient operations.
• Provides instruction in various activities to reinforce objectives and support student success.
• Reports observations and incidents to appropriate staff for safety and documentation.
• Supervises and escorts students to classes for a safe learning environment.
