Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share the gospel in public school classrooms, using the LifeWise curriculum to engage students with Bible-based lessons. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

Responsibilities include completing certification, implementing the LifeWise curriculum, maintaining attendance and class records, keeping the classroom organized, and partnering with school

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and build relationships with students.
• Maintain attendance and class rosters, health notes and permissions as required; prepare materials for substitutes.
• Keep the classroom clean, organized and safe; manage emergencies as needed.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and families; promote LifeWise’s mission and values.
