Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time teacher to share gospel-centered instruction with public school students in a classroom setting. The candidate should be an active church member with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

Responsibilities include training, lesson planning, relationship-building with students, maintaining rosters, and staying aligned with LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and ongoing training; obtain LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and attend the annual LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and adapt as needed.
• Invest in students by building relationships and praying for them.
• Maintain organized, redemptive classroom environment and apply LifeWise policies.
• Take attendance, maintain rosters, and prepare materials for substitutes.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; share updates.
