Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to combine Bible knowledge with effective classroom instruction for public school students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who cares for students and can teach children using the LifeWise curriculum.

Responsibilities include training completion, classroom instruction, attendance and roster maintenance, and active engagement with families and school partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy’s Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum with plan customization and relational teaching approach.
• Maintain attendance records and class rosters; communicate with program director and school officials as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and follow safety procedures; procure supplies as needed.
• Communicate as LifeWise ambassador to the community; engage with school events and schedule changes.
