Job summary

LifeWise Academy in Ohio is seeking a part-time LifeWise Teacher to share the gospel with public school students using the LifeWise curriculum. The candidate will cultivate relationships, maintain an engaging and redemptive classroom environment, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting
• Mature personal Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise’s beliefs

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training; obtain LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and participate in the annual LifeWise Summit
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and customize lessons as needed
• Build relationships with students, pray for them, and foster an organized, encouraging classroom
• Maintain attendance, rosters, and materials for substitutes; ensure health and permission records are up to date
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers; share updates and photos with program director
• Promote LifeWise’s religious mission in duties and interactions; uphold core values and beliefs
• Maintain a clean, safe classroom and purchase supplies using funds provided by the program director
