Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share gospel-centered instruction with public school students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

Responsibilities include training, delivering LifeWise curriculum in class, maintaining records, and engaging with parents and school staff while upholding the organization's faith-based practices and policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church setting.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligning to LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and build relationships with students.
• Maintain attendance, health notes and class rosters; prepare substitute information.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and manage emergencies.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; promote LifeWise mission.
