Job summary

Allied OneSource seeks an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support elementary students in Covington, WA for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-based contract role focuses on providing accurate ASL interpretation to ensure access to instruction and activities.

The candidate should meet Washington State ESA requirements, be proficient in ASL, and collaborate with educators to support student learning and communication needs.

Qualifications

• WA state requirements for educational interpreters, including ESA certificate.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) demonstrated.
• Knowledge of Deaf culture and best practices for deaf students.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate ASL interpretation for students throughout the school day.
• Interpret classroom instruction, small groups, assemblies, field trips and meetings.
• Facilitate communication between students, staff and families with professional boundaries.
• Support access to educational content aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to promote student success.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Prepare for classroom content to ensure accurate interpretation.
