Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Production Technician to test production units, including manufacturing verification and engineering validation. You will troubleshoot digital and analog circuitry to the component level, identify failures, and recommend repairs to restore products to spec. 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Overtime may be required, including weekends. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available after six months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a production/test environment.
• Electronic Technician Certificate and/or AS Degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. and access export-controlled information and source code.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard and specialized test equipment.
• Calibrate and perform final functional tests for each unit for shipment.
• Log test data including work order, model, serial number, status, and failure mode.
• Diagnose defects, determine causes, and document remedies to ensure reproducibility.
