Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Production Technician for the 2nd shift to conduct tests including manufacturing verification and engineering validation on production units.

You will troubleshoot digital and analog circuitry to the component level and recommend repairs to restore functionality. The role requires at least 3 years of related experience, an Electronic Technician Certificate or AS in Electronic Engineering, and OT availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Electronic Technician Certificate and/or AS Degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. and access export-controlled information.
• Available to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard and specially designed test equipment.
• Calibrate, align, adjust, and perform final functional test for each unit.
• Log production test data (work order, model, serial, test status, failure mode).
• Diagnose and determine cause and remedy for defective assemblies and components.
• Troubleshoot to component level for analog and digital circuitry.
• Report increased trends in failures and initiate root-cause investigations.
• Perform physical inspection to ensure specification and cosmetic requirements.
• Operate equipment safely according to procedures.
