Job summary

Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH offers a flexible-location sales role across CT, PA, NY, MA, NH, and NJ, with regular travel within the assigned territory. You will develop and manage a defined customer portfolio, build lasting relationships, and translate technical requirements into product solutions.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus professional experience in field or technical sales within a B2B environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field; or relevant technical sales experience.
• Professional experience in field sales, technical sales, account management, or application-oriented customer support.
• Ideally experience with electronic components, semiconductor distribution, or a similarly technical B2B environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with technical understanding, negotiation skills, and customer orientation.
• Fluent English, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a defined customer portfolio to achieve sales, margin, and design-in targets.
• Build long-term customer relationships and identify new business opportunities across Rutronik’s electronic components portfolio.
• Provide technical and commercial support to customers and translate application requirements into suitable product solutions.
• Plan and conduct customer visits, product presentations, negotiations, and follow-up activities throughout the sales process.
• Coordinate quotations, samples, projects, delivery topics, and customer requirements together with internal specialist teams.
• Work closely with Internal Sales, Product Marketing, Field Application Engineering, Material Management, Supply Chain, and Quality Management.
