Nexteer Automotive is seeking an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer in Saginaw, MI to develop and release electrical designs from conception to production for EPS systems. The role requires strong circuit design, simulation, and hands-on testing with cross-functional teams including EMC, motor controls, software, and sensors.

You will own schematics and components, perform DFMEA, and ensure signal integrity on PCB assemblies, traveling internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum 1 year of experience in electronic design of analog and digital circuits.
• Experience using electronic test equipment.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout applications such as Mentor Xpedition.
• Experience performing circuit simulation and analysis with Pspice or Multisim.
• Willingness to travel internationally several times per year.

Responsabilités

• Create electrical schematic for high-volume EPS customer based on core circuit blocks.
• Maintain and own electrical schematic and components for owned programs.
• Create/maintain/modify Circuit Analysis and Design Documents for use case.
• Create/maintain/modify Circuit Test Plans and review test results.
• Conduct ECU failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Review PCB layout to assure signal integrity on the Circuit Card Assembly.
• Lead schematic review activities for assigned programs.
• Interface with EMC, Motor Controls, Software, Sensors for design integrity.
• Lead/support DFMEA activities for the Control Module Hardware and Circuit.
