Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Senior PCB Layout Design Engineer to lead in-house electronics design for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle architectures. You will own electrical design tasks for ECUs, collaborate with PCBA/ECAD teams, and drive layouts through design reviews to production readiness.

The role requires strong experience in high-density, high-speed PCB layout, board-level signal integrity, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Experience creating digital/analog HW interfaces including schematic creation and/or PCB layout, simulation and documentation.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in PCB layout design.
• Experience with design & analysis tools like Mentor Graphics (schematic & layout).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop PCB layout designs for ECU hardware and related ECUs.
• Conduct design reviews and ensure layout meets GM specifications and DFMs.
• Collaborate with PCBA and ECAD engineers; run simulations and create layouts.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to meet program milestones.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimize manufacturability and assembly.
