Job summary

Raytheon’s Advanced Programs in Goleta, CA is seeking a Systems Engineer specializing in Electronic Warfare (EW) to lead the design, development, and implementation of EW systems onsite.

You will coordinate requirements, perform trade studies, and guide multidisciplinary teams through lifecycle activities while maintaining compliance with DoD security standards and program objectives.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant systems engineering, EW/Radar system development, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planning.
• Experience developing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, ICDs, and V&V plans.
• Support system-level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Systems Engineering focal point for the program and ensure alignment to technical, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Lead configuration management, requirements analysis, functional and timeline analysis, trade studies, and interface definitions that translate customer needs into hardware and software specifications.
• Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary engineering teams and partner with the Program Chief Engineer or Lead Systems Engineer on execution strategy.
• Maintain and enforce systems engineering processes across the program lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain system specifications, design documentation, and test plans.
• Coordinate systems engineering activities including system design, integration, testing, and verification.
• Conduct system-level trade studies, architectural exploration, and performance analysis.
• Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations.
• Assess technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
