Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking an Electronic Technician II for the 2nd shift. You will assemble, troubleshoot, connect and test electronic assemblies of basic to moderate complexity, ensuring quality and compliance with drawings and BOMs.

You may train others and participate in factory acceptance testing. Requirements include ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and Gerber files, plus 2–4 years in electronics tech roles.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• PreferAssociate’s degree in Electronics or related field.
• 2–4 years of electronics technician experience.
• Able to read diagrams, BOMs and schematics.
• English literacy for verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble junction boxes, electronic controls and other assemblies per drawings.
• Install and test completed electronic assemblies.
• Inspect and sign off electronics at final checkout.
• Interact with manufacturing to ensure proper installation and test of assemblies.
• Suggest electronic design upgrades or consolidations.
• Troubleshoot assemblies for production and aftermarket support.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing for stand-alone and system-connected controls.
• Maintain a safe, clean workspace and follow procedures and rules.
• Conserve resources by using equipment efficiently.
• Assist with training new employees on testing tasks.
