Tompkins Bank & Trust in Ithaca, NY, is seeking a Wire Operations Specialist to manage daily processing of wire transfers, ACH/Direct Deposit transmittals, and correspondent bank reconciliations in a multi-bank environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer service for internal and external clients, with duties spanning reconciliations, file creation, and dispute handling.

Qualifications

• 1 year banking operations experience.
• AAP or relevant certification preferred.
• Detail-oriented with accuracy in handling sensitive data.
• Excellent customer service in fast-paced banking.

Responsibilities

• Execute wire transfers and ACH/Direct Deposit processing.
• Reconcile wires with Federal Reserve daily.
• Reconcile international wire statements daily.
• Balance general ledger accounts daily.
• Ensure wire transfers comply with OFAC and UCC 4A.
• Input and verify wire details; maintain logs.
• Communicate with branches/customers to verify wire details.
• Ensure record retention for compliance.
• Process ACH/Direct Deposit transactions.
• Create and transmit files; balance daily output per NACHA rules.
• Manage ACH Stop Payments and Regulation E disputes.
• Monitor payments for fraud and report concerns.
• Review ACH returns and exceptions daily.
• Respond to ACH reclamations and L.I. requests.
• All other duties as assigned.
