Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Electronic Network Engineer (Level 2 or 3) in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) or Palmdale, CA. This on-site role requires a Secret clearance and may travel up to 25%.

You will design, implement, and support network infrastructure, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with engineers in a lab environment to advance avionics networking capabilities in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

Must have DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher cert within a reasonable time after hire (e.g., CCNA Security, Security+CE, CISSP).
Active US Government Secret Clearance (with background investigation within past 6 years) or in Continuous Evaluation.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing, subnets, VLANs, and routing protocols.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support network infrastructure components (Routers/Switches/Firewalls).
Monitor and optimize network performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain network diagrams, documentation, and standards.
Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis for complex network issues.
Develop automated deployments for datacenter configurations and lab setups.
Collaborate with engineers to install, troubleshoot, and update documented procedures.
Provide support to software integration lab and end-to-end system communications.
Role may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3 based on qualifications.
