Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Electronic Network Engineer (Level 2/3) to join our team in California at either San Diego or Palmdale. The role is full-time and on-site with up to 25% travel. A Secret clearance is required, with potential for higher clearances.

You will design, implement and support network infrastructure, monitor performance, and maintain documentation. Strong DoD-security certifications and TCP/IP expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with related engineering experience or Master’s with relevant experience.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification within a reasonable time after hire.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, VLANs, routing protocols and subnetting.
• Experience with network devices and troubleshooting; Visio and documentation skills.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support network infrastructure components (Routers/Switches/Firewalls).
• Monitor and optimize network performance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams and standards.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and support incident response.
• Collaborate to deploy datacenter configurations and automation scripts.
