Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Communications Electronics Engineer (Level 2 or 3) to join our team in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo) or Palmdale, CA. The role requires working on-site full-time with up to 25% travel.

You will coordinate communication subsystem requirements, manage suppliers, conduct trade studies, and collaborate with program management to deliver technical recommendations. Active Secret clearance is required, with potential to obtain TS and SAP clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 2 years of related engineering experience; or Master’s degree with 0 years.
• Experience in Communications and Network system integration.
• Experience with RF and network test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters).
• Active US Government Secret Clearance; ability to obtain Top Secret clearance; SAP clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication subsystem requirements with supplier management.
• Manage suppliers to assess new technology for program requirements.
• Conduct trade studies and analyses of comms hardware/software.
• Collaborate with program management to build schedules and assess risks.
• Address deliverable subsystem performance concerns and implement improvements.
• Provide engineering support and troubleshooting during tests.
