Peaktronics is a small, well-established, leading US manufacturer of industrial mechatronic controls, located in the greater Detroit area, looking to grow due to market demand. We have a reputation for high-quality products that are sold worldwide.

We are seeking the best and brightest Electronic Design Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in embedded 8-bit microcontroller and analog circuit design.

Education

Formal education in electronics or a degree in electrical engineering are beneficial, but not a requirement.

Job Requirements

1. Knowledge of software and hardware used to support Microchip PIC 8-bit microcontrollers in a development, prototype, and manufacturing environment.
2. Proficiency in “C” code for PIC 8-bit microcontrollers and understanding of assembler.
3. Design of analog circuits with verification of environmental and longevity considerations.
4. Development of new products aligned with existing products, including practical and cost feasibility studies leading to electrical specifications for product literature.

Desired Experience

1. Experience with industrial analog signals and communication protocols.
2. Experience with PLC I/O interfaces, ladder logic, and PID control loops.
3. Experience with AC and DC motor control driver circuits.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills.
