Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager in Huntsville to lead spectrum lifecycle management for the MDA SMO, including system certification, frequency authorization, interference resolution, and deployment coordination.

The role demands a Secret clearance, strong RF understanding, and ability to manage multiple complex tasks within a fast-paced team environment. Collaboration with engineering and mission partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Understanding of RF theory and electromagnetic principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct operational and administrative support to the MDA SMO (CED) under the Specialty Engineering Director.
• Manage and maintain the Frequency Authorization tracker for all MDA missions, ensuring data accuracy.
• Develop, author, and submit System Certifications (DD1494) using STEPSTONE and EL-CID.
• Develop, coordinate, and submit frequency authorization requests using Spectrum XXI for various systems.
• Develop, update, and maintain critical reports and databases for operations and engineering.
• Troubleshoot EMI issues between developmental and deployed systems.
• Document SOPs, workflows, and technical solutions for knowledge sharing.
• Prepare Host Nation Coordination packets and Site Surveys for global deployments.
