Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Maintenance/Electrode team in Sparks, NV. The role focuses on leading a diverse maintenance crew, coordinating preventive maintenance, and driving safety, quality, and cost initiatives on a fast-paced line.

You will manage scheduling, performance reviews, and continuous improvement projects, including Lean Six Sigma efforts, to optimize line efficiency and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive manufacturing/operations experience with people management.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance.
• Experience reading blueprints.
• Experience with CAD.
• Experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers).
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Self-starter with ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-oriented with ability to meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and 6S principles.
• Working English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
• MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and direct maintenance members to meet goals.
• Hire, train, develop, engage, and drive accountability with continuous improvement.
• Ensure production employees are trained and certified.
• Maintain floor presence and address bottlenecks.
• Oversee multiple shifts and promote teamwork and accountability.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and development plans.
• Manage overtime scheduling and reduction plans.
• Lead information and improvement team meetings.
• Monitor safety rules and 6S/ergonomics standards.
• Develop communication channels for production measurements.
• Drive FTQ and lean improvements across value streams.
• Collaborate with other shifts to ensure consistent practices.
