Job summary

RTX Goleta is seeking an Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to support the Advanced Products & Solutions Mission Area and to contribute to the design and build of advanced electro-optical systems such as imagers, LIDAR, and directed energy platforms.

You will derive design and performance requirements, assess mission needs, and participate in verification and test planning to ensure program success with a highly capable design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Optical, or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience with electro-optical infrared imagery, focal plane technology, lenses, or apertures.
• Knowledge of geometrical optics, physical optics, imaging systems, aberrations, or detectors.
• Hands-on experience with optical testing or alignment through coursework or lab work.
