Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service electronic and mechanical equipment in a cGMP medical device environment. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, manage parts inventory and support engineering projects including new equipment installation and IQs.

Excellent reading of blueprints and schematics, basic SAP/Excel/Word skills, and the ability to maintain accurate records are required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Associates Degree in a technical field preferred
In Lieu of Associates Degree, two years technical experience required

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose causes and repair equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) on equipment.
Maintain parts inventory.
Support engineering projects including ordering and installation of new equipment and IQs.
Continuous improvement projects to reduce expenses, improve reliability, and reduce waste.
Test electronic circuits to locate defects using oscilloscopes, signal generators, amp meters, and voltmeters.
Install, modify and understand control panel wiring; work with Controls group to understand and modify PLC programs.
Train operators and assist with machine set-ups/operation.
Work with central crib to maintain spare parts inventory.
Propose design changes to upgrade equipment and reduce costs.
May work off shifts; flexible and willing to overtime when needed.
Other duties as required to support the business
