Job summary

BD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service electronic and mechanical equipment in a cGMP environment at the USA NE - Columbus facility. The role requires reading schematics, performing PMs, and supporting engineering with new equipment installations.

Expect to work a rotating 6PM–6AM shift and maintain strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, part inventory management, and training operators.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; a tech field associates degree preferred.
• Two years of technical experience can substitute for an Associates Degree.
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel and Word is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnose causes and repair equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain parts inventory.
• Support engineering projects with new equipment IQs and installation.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce expenses and improve reliability.
• Test electronic circuits using oscilloscopes and meters.
• Install and modify control panel wiring; understand PLC programs and ladder logic.
• Train operators and assist with machine setup and operation.
• Work with spare parts inventory and repair pneumatic and mechanical systems.
• Propose design changes to upgrade equipment and reduce costs.
• May require off-shift call support and overtime when needed.
