Job summary

BD, Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a hands-on maintenance technician to service electronic and mechanical equipment in a cGMP medical devices environment. You will read blueprints, perform troubleshooting, and conduct preventive maintenance following validated limits.

You’ll collaborate with controls and engineering, update parts inventory, train operators, and support equipment upgrades. Strong written and verbal English, time flexibility, and willingness to work overtime are required; on-site

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred
• Two years technical experience in lieu of degree
• Proficiency reading blueprints and schematics

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose causes and repair equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Maintain parts inventory
• Assist with engineering projects and installation of new equipment
• Support PLC programming and ladder logic understanding
• Train operators and assist with machine set-ups
• Coordinate with tool room for timely repairs
• Occasional on-call/off-shift support required
