Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the rotational night shift (6pm–6am, 2-2-3) to support manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical equipment, setting up equipment with recipe changes, and guiding Level I/II technicians.

Associates degree or equivalent experience, and 3–7 years in manufacturing maintenance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 3-7 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to adhere to safety policies and ensure customer quality.
• Available for standby shifts and overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Willing to train Level I and II Technicians.
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (welding, basic machining).
• Able to read prints, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
• Strong work ethic and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems in manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and maintain mechanical components for optimal operation.
• Understand electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits and sensors.
• Work with programmable drives and motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and repair issues.
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits, controls, and relocation of machines.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems and cylinders.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks per instructions.
• Document all work in the maintenance program.
• Monitor spare parts usage and arrange orders.
• Adjust equipment based on SPC data and coordinate with QA.
• Train Level I and II technicians on complex tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
