Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Maintenance Technician III at its Rocky Mount, VA site for a rotational night shift (6pm–6am, 2-2-3). The role centers on electro-mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, setup changes and parts sourcing to keep lines running efficiently.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or equivalent, with 3–7 years in manufacturing maintenance and strong electrical, PLC, blueprints and safety know-how. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field, or equivalent related experience.
• 3-7 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Adherence to safety policies/procedures and commitment to customer quality.
• Available for standby assignments; overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
• Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives.
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components.
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions.
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program.
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms.
• Adjust equipment based on SPC data and team with QA.
• Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
