Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembler for a 3/12 schedule in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on electro‑mechanical and cleanroom device assembly in a regulated production environment, requiring attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, reading engineering docs, using micrometers/calipers, and operating equipment to ensure product quality. Onsite, contract‑to‑hire with comprehensive benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of medical device assembly experience.
• Diploma or equivalent level of education.
• Proficiency in electro‑mechanical assembly and cleanroom device assembly and packaging.
• Strong manual hand assembly skills with the ability to produce consistently high‑quality results.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, and other manual tools.
• Ability to operate electrical and mechanical equipment and interpret results accurately.
• Capability to read, interpret, and learn engineering drawings, manufacturing procedures, processes, and inspection procedures in English.
• Ability to work well with others in a cross‑functional team environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to detect issues with tooling, materials, processes, and quality.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines and production targets.
• Ability to use a computer with various programs to transact product in the production system and complete online training.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and strong active listening abilities.
• Commitment to following Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs, DOPs, and medical device quality standards.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to environmental and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro‑mechanical assembly and clean room device assembly and packaging in accordance with manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
• Support organizational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable medical device quality standards.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), departmental policies and procedures (DOPs), quality assurance programs, and all safety and environmental standards.
• Read and interpret manufacturing procedures, engineering drawings, and inspection procedures written in English, and follow their requirements accurately.
• Use basic hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other manual tools to assemble and inspect components and finished products.
• Operate electrical and mechanical equipment as required and interpret results to ensure proper function and product quality.
• Monitor own work to ensure accuracy and thoroughness, consistently producing high‑quality results and identifying issues with tooling, materials, processes, or quality.
• Learn new equipment and processes quickly and demonstrate proficiency in their operation.
• Work with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and adherence to production schedules and deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively with others in a cross‑functional team environment, establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with staff, clients, and suppliers.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and demonstrate active listening to ensure effective coordination and problem‑solving.
• Transact product within the production system using computer‑based programs and complete required online training.
• Practice and advocate good safety skills at all times, maintaining a clean and compliant work area within the cleanroom and production environment.
